Herndon stories demand equal coverage for all

Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 1 month, 3 weeks AGO

Scott Herndon is a candidate. The Daily Bee gave him front page billing, with his photo. I was recently in the KRFY to celebrate Bizarre Bazaar and the good work we do in the community. We give back nearly $250,000 each year. I was not allowed to speak because I am a candidate and my opponent would need to be given equal time.

Scott’s story is hypocritical since he actively supported Dan Rose against the Republican nominee in 2024. Now that he’s the candidate, he wants to control others. Let’s make it retroactive and kick him out.

He’s a rabblerouser intent on sowing discord in the community. He will hang onto power by any means possible.

Two years ago, Scott Herndon accused me of instigating arson — just because I bought 100 signs from the only sign printer in town. And the Bee put a similar story on the front page with Scott’s picture and his bogus claims. They then offered me the opportunity to write a letter. Not good enough.

Daily Bee, you now owe Steve Johnson equal time and space on the front page.
