Cherie R. Phillips, 76, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at her home near Sandpoint, Idaho.
Private family services have been held.
Cherie was born to Renee and Beverly LeVeque on June 21, 1950, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. At the age of 3, her family moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where she was raised. As a young woman, Cherie worked as a hotel maid and bartender before becoming a bookkeeper for a law firm.
Cherie married Alan “Al” Phillips on June 14, 1986, in Los Angeles. The couple worked together in their business installing wiring for recording studios.
In 1996, Cherie and Al moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. Cherie operated CNA Window Cleaning and built a large and loyal clientele. She later retired for health reasons.
Cherie enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family. She especially looked forward to spending winters in Parker, Arizona, where she enjoyed the warmer weather and time away with Al.
Cherie is survived by her husband, Al Phillips of Sandpoint; two sons, Ryan (Beth) Phillips of Sandpoint and Michael Phillips (Maricela Bueno) of Los Angeles; five grandchildren, Tristan, Nathan, Kylie, Michael Jr., and Matthew; and one sister, Lana LeVeque of the Oregon Coast.
