FVCC to hold celebration of life for Paul Wachholz

The Wachholz College Center at Flathead Valley Community College will host a celebration of life for Paul D. Wachholz on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Lobby doors will open at 2 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Wachholz, a longtime Flathead Valley businessman and philanthropist, died July 28 in Spokane, Washington, at age 89.

Wachholz donated a combined $10.1 million toward the two facilities on the FVCC campus that bear his name; the Paul D. Wachholz College Center, which opened in 2022, and the Wachholz Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, which opened in 2025. He also endowed a scholarship fund of approximately $100,000 for FVCC students.
