A man was peeved about neighbors’ nightly walks with their unleashed, albeit well-behaved, dog. He also had a bone to pick with the dog defecating in his yard, saying the owners returned to pick it up after he confronted them. After airing his grievances, he said he would take his doggie dealings to the homeowners association rather than “waste” the Kalispell Police Department’s time.

A man called the police, upset that his brother-in-law reportedly kept paintings his father bequeathed to him and refused to hand them over. He was advised that it was a civil matter and that, without proof of ownership, it couldn’t be proved who had legal standing over the paintings. He reportedly said he understood and would “most likely” let it go.

A former executive director allegedly stole money from an agency.

Road construction was reportedly causing a backup of vehicles trying to turn left leading to a blocked intersection. Someone called the police, asking officers to do traffic control, complaining that no one was able to turn through one light cycle.

A bright red Corvette taking a spin around town was reportedly speeding and swerving through traffic.

A woman called the police, concerned a suspicious-looking man in his 20s was casing her business, alleging that for at least an hour and a half he had been pacing and walking around the building and was now walking through the parking lot to a back alley. Officers reportedly “returned” the man to his vehicle, advising him to not return.

A girl reportedly took off her watch at a doctor’s appointment and her mother called the police thinking it was stolen, saying she tracked it leaving the location. She called back when the watch was found next to a tree in the area

Officers received a call about an abandoned trailer and spoke to the registered owner, who said she didn’t know she couldn’t leave the trailer on the street and her husband was out of town. An officer advised her to have a friend move and legally park the trailer.
