On Friday night, teams across the valley faced tough opponents, with all playing away games except the Polson Pirates.
In 8-Man football, the Arlee Warriors took a tough hit, losing 18-82 to the Superior Bobcats; the St. Ignatius Bulldogs had a hard-fought battle, losing 25-40 to the Seeley-Swan Blackhawks; and the Charlo Vikings brought home a tough result, losing 0-62 to the Darby Tigers.
In Class A, Ronan Chiefs suffered a tough defeat to Hamilton Broncs, 0-49; Polson Pirates won their home game battle against the Corvallis Blue Devils, 29-14.

Mission West’s annual fundraiser surpasses last year’s total
Mission West Community Development Partners' annual Harvest on Main fundraiser in downtown Ronan on Thursday, Aug. 27, drew strong attendance and surpassed last year’s total by $2,000, reaching an estimated $124,000.
