RATHDRUM — Lakeland sophomore Paige Carey shot an 81 to earn girls medalist honors, leading the Hawks to the team title at the Lakeland Invitational on Wednesday at Twin Lakes Village Golf Club.

Lakeland won the girls title with a 384.

Lewiston's Landon Blewett shot a 1-over-par 73 to earn boys medalist, leading the Bengals to the team title.

“Coming into tonight’s game, we said we need to play mistake free in order to beat good teams,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Craig Daigle said. “We then proceeded to give up an opening goal in front of our goal, fall asleep on a restart and give up a late PK. Three mistakes, three goals. Sandpoint capitalized on every mistake. We need to keep working on eliminating mistakes.” 

Coeur d’Alene Charter (4-1) is scheduled to face Immaculate Conception of Post Falls today at the Marimn Health Coeur Center in Worley.

POST FALLS — Riley Greene scored a hat trick as the host Panthers defeated the Wildcats in Intermountain League play at The Fields at Real Life. 

Ingeborg Pedersen added a pair of goals for Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy (4-1-0, 4-1-0 IML). Avery Thompson had a goal and two assists, Sierra Sheppard three assists.

"We had some good ball movement today," Charter coach Stacy Smith said. "There are still a few tactical things for us to work on but we’re getting there. It was also fun to see Reagan Fish and Ingeborg Pedersen get their first goals."

Charter plays host to Orofino today at 4 p.m. at the Marimn Health Coeur Center in Worley.
