WALLACE — Two standout sophomores Vanessa Rogier and Kiylah Anderson led the Clark Fork Wampus Cats past the Wallace Miners in four sets (27-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-11) on Wednesday evening. 

Rogier and Anderson powered the team via their defense, which head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey said won the game. Rogier led the way with 19 digs with Anderson following closely behind with 17, contributing to a team total 67 positive digs. Anderson’s strong performance pushed her career dig total past 500. 

“We went into this match with the mentality that we had to outlast Wallace in rallies, and that's what we did,” Kiebert-Carey said. “Their senior setter was crafty with her attacks, but we made the necessary adjustments to force them to work hard in transition.” 

The sophomores were assisted by another solid night close to the net from senior Nora-Jean Hoy, who had five blocks against the Miners. 

On the offensive side, Rogier racked up a team-high eight kills, followed by freshman Grace Thompson’s seven and Anderson’s six. Anderson also led the team with six aces, while freshmen Gemma Wood and Kourtney Rogier added four each. 

Kiebert-Carey praised the team’s junior libero, Eylssa Raynor, who had over 80% positive serve receive against Wallace. 

“Our mental and emotional energy stayed level, which is a huge credit to our bench and their consistent encouragement,” Kiebert-Carey said. 

With the victory, Clark Fork stays undefeated in 2026, moving to 3-0. The Wampus Cats played Genesis Prep Academy at home on Thursday, but the game did not finish before the Bee’s print deadline. A full recap of that game will appear in Saturday’s paper.  

Clark Fork has another home game on Friday night at 7 p.m. against Valor at 7 p.m.
