There are only three performances left to take a musical trip through four unforgettable decades as the Bigfork Summer Playhouse closes out season 67 with "Hits of the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s."

Performances are Sept. 3, 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m.

Part concert, part comedy and part musical trivia night, "Hits" brings together some of the most recognizable music of four generations — from the birth of rock ’n’ roll in the 1950s through the unmistakable sounds of the 1980s.

Company members perform music made famous by some of the biggest names in popular music.

And the audience gets to join in the fun.

Between numbers, the cast shares some of the surprising stories behind the songs and challenges the audience with musical games and trivia. How well do you really know the lyrics you’ve been singing for 40 or 50 years? Can you recognize a song in just a few notes? And do you actually remember whether that hit came from the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s or ’80s?

The evening features music ranging from rock ’n’ roll and Motown to Broadway, disco, pop and classic rock, including “Good Vibrations,” “Heat Wave,” “You’re So Vain,” “Barracuda,” “Fever,” “Waterloo,” “YMCA” and many more.

Some songs will take you back to high school. Others may remind you of your first car, first dance or first love. And a few may leave you wondering how you still remember every word after all these years.
