Douglas 'Doug' K. Loper, 77

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my husband and best friend of over 50 years, Doug Loper, whom I married on March 25, 1977. He was born in Lewistown, Mont., on March 30, 1949, to Gerald and Doris Loper. He grew up in Great Falls, Mont., graduated from Great Falls High School in 1968, and attended Great Falls Community College.

Doug held many different jobs during his lifetime, from working on ranches in the hay fields during high school to working at the Smelter Refinery, General Tire, and Holman Aviation. In 1971, he found his permanent and successful occupation with Combined Insurance (AON Corporation). He started as a salesman, then as a Sales Manager, then as a District Manager, and finally as a Divisional Manager. He was very successful in his profession and retired early at 54. He was with Combined Insurance for 32 years.

Doug had several hobbies and pursued them after retiring early. He enjoyed woodworking and made several things while working in his shop. He loved cars and had a few Corvettes during his life. He purchased a cabin after his retirement and spent many hours working and enjoying it.

He is survived by me, his wife, Bobbie; three children: Tami Davis (Brett), Angel Rodriguez (Phil) and Jeff Loper (Debbie). He also leaves behind five wonderful grandchildren: Kately Loper, Holly Loper (Ivan), Makenly Davis, Aaron Rodriguez, and Emily Rodriguez; along with two great-grandchildren, Shea and Willet. He will be greatly missed by all of them.

We will not be having any services at this time. We all love and miss you very much and will see you in Heaven someday.
