Paul Wayne Coye, 83

Paul Coye “Mo” walked up the final ridge to meet his Lord and Savior on Aug. 18, 2026. 

He was born and raised in Toledo, Iowa, and later served in the Air Force, where he met his “sweetheart” and the love of his life, Dee. They shared 63 years of marriage, including four children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, who were the bright spots of his day.  

After serving, he returned to Iowa with Dee, where they had two children, Regina and Mike, and brought them along to bird hunt, trap, search for arrowheads in the fields, and hunt for treasures with his metal detector. He later moved to Idaho, where it was hard to keep him out of the mountains that he loved, particularly in Avery, his “Happy Place.” He enjoyed being a mountain man like Bear Claw in his favorite movie, "Jeremiah Johnson." Paul packed around their “second litter” of children, Kenny and Monica, on road trips, fishing, camping and hunting big game, always keeping the freezer full. All of his children are grateful for the strong work ethic he instilled in each of them, which he showcased in his later years at Camelot Estates.

Paul was a true patriot. Not only did he serve his country, but he never forgot the MIA and the fallen soldiers. He was a man of integrity and honesty, a man his country and family were proud to have. 

We love you, Dad. “Watch your top knot” up there in Heaven until we meet again.
