Timothy Wise, 71

Timothy Wise, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 3, 2026. 

Tim was born in Kalispell in 1955 and was a graduate of Flathead High School. He grew up in Sykes Grocery and Restaurant, working alongside his parents, living up to the saying, “Nobody goes away a stranger,” for over 40 years. Whether you were new to town, needed a meal, or were a kid who needed a tooth pulled in exchange for an ice cream cone, he would welcome you with a smile.

Tim was also an active member of the Flathead County Sheriff's Posse and Reserves for over 20 years. He ran his own private security business for many years, worked as a merchandiser at Home Depot and Lowes, and finished his working years as a Montana meat inspector. 

Tim had the best stories, sense of humor, a true servant’s heart, and an unwavering love for God, his family and our community. He will be missed by many.

Tim is survived in death by his children: Karissa Prewitt (and Jason Prewitt), Tiffany Sinner (and her husband John), Matthew Wise and Savannah Wise; along with nine grandchildren who were his whole world.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his name to Montana’s Special Olympics or Kalispell’s First Church of the Nazarene’s annual Trunk or Treat Celebration.
