Wildkats soccer down Billings Central, boys fall

BILLINGS — June Johnston scored twice and the Columbia Falls Wildkats downed Billings Central 3-1 Saturday in high school soccer.
Onnikka Lawrence scored the opening goal in the closing minutes of the first half to put the Wildkats in front.
Johnston added two goals in quick succession late in the second half before Emerson Dull pulled one back in the final minutes of the game.
“This was really just a win that tells a big story about our culture," Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. "We didn’t create as many clear cut chances as we usually do but we finished at a really high level.”

Billings Central's boys took the victory in a tight match over Columbia Falls
"Our young squad took quite a few steps forward from the big learning lessons of yesterday," Wildcats coach O'Brien Byrd said. "Very proud of their performance, we stuck to do our brand and identity, and gave everything to the cause and the team. Excited to watch this team continue to grow and get stronger as the season turns a corner and we begin conference play this week."
