KELLOGG — The Priest River Spartans’ leading goalscorer, senior Macie Olmo, came through in a big way in the team’s 5-3 victory over Kellogg on Friday. 

Olmo found the back of the net four times on seven shots against the Wildcats to give her 10 goals in the season. Sophomore Rachel Roberts added the other Spartans’ score and eight shots in addition to two assists as Priest River jumped to 3-3 in 2026. 

While only two Spartans scored, the team peppered the Wildcats’ goalkeeper with shots. Freshman Joy Roberts had two shots on goal while senior Vivian Savage and freshman Heidi Burress added one each for a team total of 19 shots on goal. 

Sophomore Jasmine Zylstra made seven saves in 60 minutes between the posts, while allowing three goals. Junior Aleigha Razo came in to finish off the game and made four saves in the final 20 minutes.  

The victory is the Spartans’ second in a row, getting them back to an even record overall and in the 4A Intermountain League. Priest River will head to St. Maries for a road rematch on Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. with the Lumberjacks, whom they beat 7-1 on Sept. 2.
