INVITATION TO BID Mineral County Detention Center Re-Roof Superior, MT Notice is hereby given that the Mineral County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from qualified Roofing Contractors for the Mineral County Detention Center Re-Roof as specified in the Contract Documents. Mineral County Commissioners will receive bids at the Mineral County Courthouse, Clerk & Recorder’s Office, 300 River St, Superior, MT 59872, until 9:30 am local time, Thursday, September 17, 2026. Bidders shall clearly mark the envelope “SEALED BID – MINERAL COUNTY DETENTION CENTER RE-ROOF.” Bids will only be accepted on the form provided within the Contract Documents. Bids will be opened publicly as part of the Mineral County Commission meeting agenda during their regularly scheduled session on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 10:00 am local time. This project is a reroof of the entire membrane roofing system of the Detention Center, including removal of existing membrane roofing and removal of insulation to provide a dry and leak-free substrate for the new roof system. This work is to include all tools, equipment, materials and labor to complete this project. A grant has been awarded for a portion of this work and materials must be procured, at minimum, by October 31, 2026. Contract Documents. The Contract Documents consisting of Drawings and Project Specifications may be obtained via electronic pdf format from the office of Slate Architecture, 1470 North Roberts Street, Helena, MT 59601, (406) 457-0360. MINERAL COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PUBLIC MEETING – REQUEST TO AMEND SUBDIVISION CONDITION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mineral County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public meeting on Thursday, September 24, 2026, to consider a request submitted by Jerry and Michelle Lukkasson to amend a condition of approval for the Elk Run II Minor Subdivision, Lot 5, located near St. Regis, Montana. The request is to amend an existing no-build area condition placed on a large portion of Lot 5. The property owners have purchased Lot 5 and are proposing to construct a single-family residence within the existing no-build area.The no-build area was established as part of the subdivision approval based on considerations including public health and safety and emergency service access. The proposed amendment will be reviewed by the Board of County Commissioners, including consideration of impacts to emergency  response and access to the proposed residence.
