A man is in custody after Kalispell Police officers shot at him during a disturbance call near the intersection of U.S. 93 and Reserve Drive on Sunday night.
Kalispell resident Quinn Heath, 51, is being held in the county jail on a pending assault on a peace officer charge.
Officers crossed paths with Heath while responding to a report of a disorderly male acting aggressively about 9 p.m., Sept. 6, according to the Kalispell Police Department.
During the confrontation, officers fired their weapons. Heath was not struck by the gunfire but was subdued using less-lethal tactics, according to Patrol Capt. Chad Fetveit.
Fetveit said that no officers were injured during the arrest.
Residents were asked to avoid the area as of early Monday morning, but the advisory has since lifted, according to Fetveit.
The Flathead County Sheriff's Office was tapped to investigate the incident.
