Whitefish community blood drive
Whitefish Pilot | Whitefish Pilot | UPDATED 1 month, 1 week AGO
The American Red Cross will host its fall Whitefish community blood drive on Thursday, Sept. 17 at The Wave, 1250 Baker Ave., from 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The entire donation process takes about an hour, including check-in, an up-to-date health review, drawing blood and snacks afterwards.
We suggest that you complete your up-to-date health review (Rapid Pass) the morning of the drive on the Red Cross website prior to arrival. Walk-in donors are welcome; however, you will need to complete your Rapid Pass prior to check-in.
It is imperative that you eat a hardy meal and drink plenty of water before giving blood. Snacks, water and juices are provided for you at the blood drive.
Every 27 minutes someone in Montana will need blood. Your donation will help accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, as well as those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease. The need is constant and the gratification is instant.
Appointments are recommended and a blood donor card or a driver’s license is required at check-in. To schedule your appointment for Sept. 17, please call Merry Lynn at 406-250-0146 or go to redcrossblood.org and search for blood drives in the 59937-zip code.
