PONDERAY — The 7B Soccer League, a local member of the United States Adult Soccer Association, is set to host the Inland Northwest Jamboree at the Field of Dreams complex tonight.
The jamboree will bring together players from the 7B League, the Coeur d'Alene Adult Soccer Club and the Inland Northwest Soccer Association of Spokane. Angela Hansen, a spokesperson for the 7B Soccer League, said each league has formed multiple teams that will compete against each other during tonight's action.
"The event will feature a co-ed open division, representing a level of competition above traditional recreational play. It is intended to showcase competitive, organized adult soccer while maintaining the community-centered spirit of the participating clubs and leagues," Hansen said in a press release. "The jamboree also provides an opportunity to strengthen relationships among neighboring soccer communities and continue growing the sport throughout North Idaho and the greater Inland Northwest."
The 7B Soccer League will have two teams competing in the event, comprised of local talent, Hansen said. The games are scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. tonight.
