Idaho needs to stop electing extremists
Bonners Ferry Herald | UPDATED 1 month, 1 week AGO
Scott Herndon, Cornel Rasor and Jane Saunter are not conservatives.
Conservatism is a centrist philosophy. They are instead dangerous, ultra-right-wing extremists. I can't believe that anyone with moral soul would elect them.
They have already forced their extreme evangelical Christian fundamentalist laws down our throats. Because of people like them, women can't get lifesaving OB-GYN treatment. Women's medical privacy is non-existent. Our libraries and internet are censored, and they look to start policing our bathrooms. They wish every book in our public and school libraries to be "biblically based" and friendly to the "American way."
All of this violates separation of church and state laid out in the United States Constitution. They also have a hyper-Libertarian platform which seeks to get rid of public schools and privatize public land and resources.
Then there's Russ Fulcher, our U.S. representative who is a real estate developer who proposes to sell off public lands. Everyone needs to tell him that public lands make the West. Public lands are our greatest attribute. Not subdivisions, not strip malls, not strip mines.
These people are theocratic libertarian fascists. There's no other way to say it. Idaho stop electing extremists.
