Polson Seniors: Nutrition Program served 25,766 meals in past year
Pete Mangels | Lake County Leader | UPDATED 50 minutes AGO
Welcome to the early beginning of autumn! Drive carefully. Our children have returned to school; some are happy and some, not so much.
Support those who support teaching the love of learning, and those children who are recipients of that love. These children are our legacy. Stay awakened to their needs and promote public education.
In the previous 12 months our Nutrition Program served 380 persons and 25,766 total meals. We serve an average of 57 meals a day in our meal delivery service, in addition to an average of 40 or so meals served in our cafeteria. We thank our employees and volunteer drivers for their service to our community.
Our Transportation Program makes an average of 175 rides a month to deliver seniors and disabled persons to various appointments.
We thank businesses and individuals who continue to support our community center and nutrition programs.
Our membership campaign starts on Monday, Sept. 14. It’s only $15 for an annual membership and special treats will be given this week for new and renewing members.
