Corvallis sweeps Hullett Invitational; Whitefish and Ronan boys tie for 2nd

BIGFORK — While a handful of area golfers went low Thursday, it was Corvallis that swept the team titles at the Steve Hullett Invitational golf tournament hosted by Bigfork.

Dylan Wirt led three Blue Devils among the top 15 boys — his 75 was second only to the 74 by Brayden Garr of Frenchtown — and Corvallis won that side with 328 strokes.  

Whitefish and Ronan tied for second at 337: Nick Schmid-Sommer shot a 78  and Calvin Lerud a 79 for the Bulldogs; Siouxprixm Qualtier and Liam Cast0r shot 79s for Ronan. 

Corvallis had four top-15 golfers on the girls side and won that team competition by 25 strokes. The Blue Devils total was 381 and Frenchtown was next at 406. 

Butte Central’s Mya McGree was the girls medalist; she shot an 80 to win by seven strokes. 

Bigfork’s girls were third, with Keegan Campbell taking third individually with a 91 and teammate Jocelyn Holton shooting 92.
