Flathead girls soccer holds early, falls to Big Sky

MISSOULA — Missoula Big Sky took an 8-0 victory over the Flathead Bravettes Thursday, but coach Chris Putzler was pleased with his team’s play.
“This loss feels much more like a win as we probably played our best game of the season so far,” Putzler said. “Our passing was better, our movement off of the ball was better and we played more physically and confidently.”
Goalkeeper Hannah Bailey kept the Bravettes in the game early as Big Sky took a 1-0 lead at the half before finding more openings in the second half to break the game open.
Big Sky outshot Flathead 21-6 in the match.
