Wildkats use big 2nd half to down Bigfork

COLUMBIA FALLS — Riley Byrd and Onnikka Lawrence each scored hat tricks and Columbia Falls downed Bigfork 9-2 in high school soccer Thursday.
Byrd opened the scoring just four minutes in with a goal from a Tatiana Raymond assist. 15 minutes later Byrd returned the favor as Raymond made it 2-0.
Michaela Anders pulled one back for Bigfork in the first half, but Columbia Falls broke the game open with four goals in 11 minutes in the second half.
“Bigfork is a well coached team and they brought a defensive approach that really caused us a lot of problems. The girls really figured it in the second half and we had a lot of success,” Wildkats coach Thomas Clark said. “When you have the midfield we have and forwards like June and Onnikka, we are going to be dangerous in every game, they continue to prove that.”
