Kristi Cossette-Jeffrey, 59

In Loving Memory of Kristi Cossette-Jeffrey, May 7, 1967 — Aug.9, 2026. 

Kristi Cossette-Jeffrey, 59, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Spokane, Wash., Kristi grew up in Spokane Valley and graduated from University High School. She attended Seattle University and went on to build a successful career in the Home Loan industry, where she was respected for her unwavering dedication to her clients. 

Kristi spent her cherished childhood surrounded by a large extended family on Priest, Pend Oreille, and Deer lakes. Those fond memories later drew her and her beloved husband, John Jeffrey, to build their life together on the Post Falls River. Their days were filled with ZAGS games at The Kennel, pontoon boat rides, trips to Puerto Vallarta, joint projects, and hosting warm gatherings for family and friends. Kristi delighted in life’s simple pleasures — whether floating on a noodle with her “girly whirlies,” sharing a quiet date watching the Seattle Seahawks, or hosting board game nights. She lived with grace, a playful spirit, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. 

Kristi had a special gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed and valued. Even throughout her illness, Kristi’s resilience, strength, and work ethic inspired all who knew her. She was strong and always shining! Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by her during her fight. Though her time was far too short, her beautiful smile, gentle spirit, and warmth will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. 

Kristi is survived by her loving husband, John Jeffrey; her mother, Bonnie Upchurch; her father and stepmother, Mike and Carole Cossette. She also leaves behind her sister, Laurie (Jim) Scott and her brother, Greg (Joan) Cossette. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, James Upchurch and grandparents, Alice and Don Cossette, and Ruth and Harry Cockburn. 

A celebration of Kristi’s life will be held at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at 1 p.m. Burial will be held (at a later date) at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane, Wash.
