The North Idaho Building Contractors Association will welcome the public to tour 20 properties across Kootenai and Bonner counties during the 49th annual Parade of Homes. Visitors can tour the homes in person or online Sept. 12-13 and Sept. 18-20.

"The parade is a fantastic way for the public to see a variety of homes built by NIBCA members in many different price points, sizes, styles and locations," said NIBCA President Jessica Cargile. "Our builder members can showcase their work to the public, and for smaller builders, it's a wonderful way to display their craftsmanship for potential customers."

Cargile said the Parade of Homes typically draws between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors and expects similar attendance this year.

The Parade of Homes has become an annual tradition that celebrates the work of local builders, contractors and architects while giving prospective homeowners design inspiration.

"I love visiting with the public during the parade," Cargile said. "It's also a great way for me to hear what design trends people are gravitating toward."

In addition to serving as NIBCA president, Cargile is co-owner and chief financial officer of North Ridge Contracting, which entered the Blue Rock Estate in this year's Parade of Homes. The home features a modern design with black walnut wood, slate tile and geometric accents. It also includes an expansive outdoor living area overlooking the water.

"It was an incredibly fun project for us to build, for such a fun and creative customer," Cargile said. "We are excited to showcase it, and the homeowner is excited to get to move in after the parade is over."

Visitors can find home addresses on the NIBCA Parade of Homes app. A printed map is available in the 2026 Parade of Homes magazine. Copies of the magazine are available at the NIBCA office in Coeur d'Alene and at The Press.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 19, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 13 and 20 and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 18. Admission is $10 and can be purchased through the app, online or at any participating home.

Visitors who purchase physical tickets may vote for the People's Choice Award. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit NIBCA.com.
