SANDPOINT — An over 20-year-old tradition will be renewed this Saturday, as the Sandpoint Legends host their Pend Oreille Cup exhibition match against the University of Idaho men's club team at War Memorial Field. 

The Legends, a local club team comprised of collegiate and semi-professional players, play a handful of exhibition matches throughout the year as fundraisers for youth soccer camps or events. Sandpoint’s hometown club has won several tournaments in the past, most recently winning the Kimberly July Fest trophy this summer. 

In addition to a quality game of soccer, Matchwood Brewery’s Tiny Tap Truck will be onsite serving drinks for those old enough to buy. The Saturday showdown is set to kick off at 7 p.m. and is free to attend, though there is a $5 suggested donation.
