Patricia "Pat" M. Stahlberg, 85, went to sit at the feet of Jesus on Sept. 6, 2026, with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer.

Pat was born in Chicago in 1940, one of seven children born to Harry and Elsie Turner. It was in Chicago that she met the love of her life, Bob Stahlberg, and a lifetime of memories began.

After several years in France, where she gave birth to their oldest daughter, Cheri, the family returned to Chicago and welcomed a son, Jeff; but Montana kept calling and the “city girl” agreed to move to Montana, where her husband had been raised. There they welcomed three more children to the family: Steve, Keith and Denise.

After Pat was widowed in 2018, she became an active member of Meals on Wheels and the Columbia Falls Senior Center, delivering meals to those in need until cancer didn’t allow her to continue.

Pat is survived in death by her children: Cheri (Larry) Bower, Steven Stahlberg, Keith Stahlberg and Denise (David) Reed, along with 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 9 at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell and a memorial gathering will be held at 12 p.m. on Oct. 10 at her home.
