Ralph 'Butch' Tiemyer, 71

Ralph “Butch” Harris Tiemyer, 71, was born in Missoula on July 28, 1954, to Harris “Bud” and Fern Tiemyer. He passed away July 7, 2026, in Polson. He grew up near Bonner Park and graduated from Hellgate High School.
Butch spent many years living on the east shore of Flathead Lake and was an incredibly talented water skier. He and several friends formed the unofficial "Yellow Bay Ski Club" where they all honed their skills.
Butch was always happiest out on the lake in his boat. He worked for Liberty and Billmayer Drilling before starting his own business, Cyclone Drilling, in 1994. His successful water well and pump business served customers in Plains and Bigfork, many of whom became friends.
Butch is survived by three sisters: Dianne Dahl, Sandra Erickson, Candice Snell and their spouses and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gwen (Charles) Wemple.
A celebration of life will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, at Boettcher Park, 31 Country Club Dr., Polson.
