Snow closes Logan Pass

Glacier National Park has closed the Going-to-the-Sun Road from Avalanche Creek to Jackson Glacier overlook due to wintry conditions in the high country.
There are several inches of snow at the pass currently.
The weather is expected to improve Tuesday a bit, with a high near 60 and Wednesday through Friday should be sunny, with highs in the 60s and 70s.
The road will reopen when conditions improve. It typically closes for the season in mid-October in the higher elevations.
September snow is very common in Glacier.
