Flathead Electric Cooperative members in the Libby area may notice contractors working along local power lines over the next several weeks for vegetation management.

Contract tree crews from Associated Arborists, along with a contract forester from ArborMetrics, are expected to work in the Libby area for approximately six to eight weeks in September-October.

Crews will be working near power lines and within utility rights-of-way during this period.

The work includes inspecting vegetation near power lines and trimming or removing trees and brush as needed to maintain safe clearances. Regular vegetation management helps reduce the risk of trees and limbs contacting power lines and supports safe, reliable electric service.

Members may see contractor vehicles that identify them as official contractors of Flathead Electric Cooperative.

Flathead Electric Cooperative appreciates members’ patience while this routine maintenance is completed.
