There is no such thing as a preborn citizen
Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 1 month AGO
According to federal and international law, a human egg cell, zygote, embryo or fetus is not recognized as a citizen. Citizenship is a relationship between an individual and the state, established through being born in a country, to citizen parents or through a legal process. Citizenship is most commonly tied to birth.
This pro-life deceptive rhetoric of referring to any “preborn” as a citizen is another factually incorrect attempt to convince voters that abortion choices are killing U.S. citizens. Any stage of pregnancy development in this country is not a citizen because the U.S. Constitution grants no rights of citizenship before birth.
Pregnant women citizens of the United States are entitled to their citizenship rights under the constitution including their own liberty and the pursuit of their own happiness. The pro-life movement intends to deprive these citizens of their legal rights. Individuals, governments and religions should not be in the business of telling any woman what she can do with her body and whatever is in it, be that a kidney, a liver, a lung or a pregnancy! These attempts to suppress the liberty of pregnant citizens to exercise their own judgement for their own body is a blatant attempt to deprive women of their constitutionally guaranteed citizen’s rights of life and liberty.
