Trio's kindness helped family get home safely

I would like to publicly thank three gentlemen who stopped to help me on Reeder Bay Road on a recent Saturday.

I was towing our boat trailer to the marina when it came off the hitch. Because there was no cell service in the area, I was unable to contact my husband who was on his way to the marina in our boat. Fortunately, three separate vehicles stopped to assist: a young man in a work truck, a father with his family in a van and another man who offered help and some welcome comic relief. The young man in the work truck managed to lift the trailer off the road, and the father backed up my truck so we could reattach it.

While I did not get their names, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude in case any of them are locals and read the paper.

I would also like to thank Dakota at Tamrak Hardware for helping us fabricate sturdy replacement chains for the ones that were sheared off during the incident.

With everyone's assistance, we made it home safely! Your kindness will never be forgotten!
