Let's 'hire' Forstag

In this election, western Montana will hire a person to champion its concerns in Congress.  

I once asked a successful, Bozeman business manager about hiring criteria and she adamantly said, “We hire attitude!” 

After interrogating the public statements of Aaron Flint and Sam Forstag, I’d hire Forstag.  

Flint premises his candidacy with “It’s time (for Congress) to fight back and change course” and resorts to a cop-out blame game (Blame Biden). What an unpromising attitude coming from a politician whose cronies have controlled Washington, D.C. these past years.  

Forstag’s attitude is clearly that of a fighter for ordinary Montanans and their aspiration to have a chance at prosperity. Growing up in a working-class Butte family, I knew the core pillars supporting my chances were education, health, housing, food and a job that pays for these basics. Sam is passionate about securing these pillars for ordinary Montanans. He understands working class issues because he is working class. His smokejumper willingness to serve our communities by fighting fires in situations none of us want to be in, demonstrates his resolute, “I’ll do it” attitude, making him ready to douse the smoke screen blowing out of DC these days. 

I’m voting for Sam Forstag.
