Roy George Fenn, born May 30, 1941, passed away at his home from cancer complications on September 1, 2026.
Roy always tried to be honest, kind, caring, thoughtful and generous to everyone he met. He loved hunting and fishing. If you ever shook his hand you knew he lead a life of hard work.
Roy started his working career at the Bonner Mill loading box cars and after that he went logging. Eventually he went to Washington working at Lockheed shipyards building battleships and the world's largest hydrofoil ship as a boilermaker. From there in the 70s & 80s, he was working as the superintendent at the Hanford area WNP and working on reactors 1 and 4. He worked on the world's largest crane lifts, these were 575 ton putting the domes on both reactors. He also worked as the general foreman on the second largest spheres in the world at the Texaco refinery in California. He eventually helped build two projects funded by MIT called the Ligo project to help measure gravity waves back in Hanford and Louisiana. He finished his working career on transformers and large oil storage tanks.
Roy became a dedicated Jehovah's Witness in 1996. He enjoyed his Bible reading and looked forward to the Bible promises for the future found at Psalm 37:29 & Revelation 21:4.
Roy married Sharon Hutchins on July 3, 1961. Together, they shared many years of life and their three boys and family until Sharon's passing on June 11, 2015.
On February 15, 2018, Roy married Caron, beginning a new chapter in his life. Caron brought happiness and companionship to Roy and a wonderful smile to his face. Their marriage also brought additional family into his life, giving Roy even more people to love and share special moments with.
He is survived by his wife Caron, sons Shan (Cindy), Todd (Roberta), Phillip, step daughters Janelle, Marie, Heather. Grandchildren Courtney, Christina, Kelsey, Garrett, and Taylor. Great grandchildren Jace, Emily, Lorianne, Weston and step grandchildren Jacey & Gotcher.
Services will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the St. Regis Community Center (230 Lobo Loop St Regis, MT) at 4:00pm with a meal immediately following. All who knew and loved Roy are welcome to attend. In closing, we would like you to read and implement Acts 20:35 into your daily lives as you remember Roy and the life he lived.
