Soccer keeps spirit of Summer Games alive

The Summer Games began 25 years ago, and the only sport upholding the tradition is soccer. The Summer Games soccer tournament proved to be a good time for all, as men and women from Montana and Canada played in rain and sunshine over two days last weekend at Smith Fields.

Kicking Daisies won the womens division of the Summer Games soccer tournament this weekend but posed for a photo with the other local team, Mudslingers. The Adrenaline Eagles from Calgary, Alberta, had already begun post-tournament festivities. (Diane Skyland photo)
