The art featured above is "Unseen Presence” and is a mixed-media work by Whitefish Middle School eighth grader Evan Easterley in the WMS Drawing class. Easterley said, “I made this artwork to symbolize the feeling of being unnoticed or unseen in new environments. In the middle of the art, there is a gap, uncolored, in the shape of a human head. The colorful tiny dots that surround the unseen head represent the people who you feel ignore you or make you feel unseen. Even though you might feel unseen, you always serve a purpose, but you will still, sometimes, feel lost in the crowd.” The Pilot periodically features art from Whitefish High School and Middle School students.
