John Daniel Hudson, affectionately known as "Johnny," passed away on September 9, 2026, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, at the age of 78.

Johnny was born on June 15, 1948, in Tulare, California, to John Daniel Hudson Sr. and Eva Faye Funderburg Hudson. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and lived much of his life between the mountains of North Idaho and the foothills of Arkansas.

Johnny had a lifelong passion for hot rods and classic cars, an enthusiasm for music and playing his guitar. Friends and family knew him as someone who could spend hours talking about cars, engines, and the next project he hoped to tackle. He especially admired classic Fords and often talked about his dream of building a Model T or Model A.

Johnny is survived by his son, Jeremy Hudson; his daughter, Janette Riley; his grandson, Skyelar McKenna; his brother, Rick Hudson; and his sisters, Sue Sheets, Lynn Bracewell, Kathy Johnson, Tanya Jarrett, and Tammy Banks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Daniel Hudson Sr. and Eva Faye Hudson, and by five sisters, Mary Hudson, Annie Hudson, Maye Finch, Faye Johnson, and Sandra Harrington.  He is in God's hands now.
