to face Snow today in Worley

North Idaho College will open the home slate of the Scenic West Conference soccer schedule today, albeit a few miles from its campus in Coeur d’Alene. 

The Cardinals will play host to the Snow College Badgers in both men’s and women’s play, starting with the women’s match at 1 p.m. at the Marimn Health Coeur Center in Worley. 

NIC (5-2-1, 2-1 SWAC) faces the Badgers (2-2-1, 2-0-1), who are ranked 17th in this week’s women’s NJCAA poll. 

The Cardinal men (7-0-1, 3-0) lead the conference and are ranked 13th in this week’s NJCAA poll, up from 17th last week. Snow (3-3-1, 2-1) is ranked 12th in this week’s poll. 

There is no cost to attend. 

The Cardinals will return home to Eisenwinter Field in Coeur d’Alene for Saturday’s matches against Colorado Northwestern, before returning to Worley again next week against Utah State-Eastern and Salt Lake.  

USA Wrestling to continue to host

women's nationals at The Podium

USA Wrestling selected Spokane to host the Women’s National Championships for four additional years, extending the event’s run at The Podium powered by STCU through 2030.

The new agreement includes championships in 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030, with the 2027 event scheduled for April 8–11.

Spokane has hosted USA Wrestling Women’s Nationals since 2023. Since then, the event has continued to grow, with the 2026 championship drawing more than 2,100 entries and expanding to a four-day competition format.

“USA Wrestling is fortunate to have event hosts who are willing to go all-in on national events,” said Pete Isais, USA Wrestling Director of National Events, in announcing the host selections. “Spokane Sports and Washington State Wrestling Association have been great partners in driving record growth for our Women’s Nationals.”
