Planning meeting set for Hometown Christmas Wonderland

BONNERS FERRY — Plans are underway for Bonners Ferry’s Hometown Christmas Wonderland 2026, and community members are invited to learn more during an upcoming town hall planning meeting.
Presented by Al Wilson Auto Repair, the meeting will be held Thursday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kootenai River Inn. Organizers will share plans for the event and discuss ways residents, businesses and local organizations can get involved.
Work has already been taking place behind the scenes to build a foundation of support for the event, and organizers are now looking to bring the wider community into the planning process.
Hometown Christmas Wonderland is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds. The event is envisioned as a community-wide celebration involving local residents, businesses, schools, churches and organizations.
Those interested in learning more or becoming involved are encouraged to attend the Sept. 24 planning meeting.
Organizers said they hope to make Hometown Christmas Wonderland into an annual tradition, becoming bigger and more festive each year.
