From Priest River to Bonners Ferry, every football team in the two northern counties returns to action this Friday.

Here are all four matchups and what to look for as the season rolls into its fourth week.

All times are in PDT.

Sandpoint (4-0) vs. Coeur d’Alene (4-0), 7 p.m.

Riding high off a 41-14 dominant win over 4A Bonners Ferry, the 5A Sandpoint Bulldogs will now welcome their toughest test of the season to War Memorial Field on Friday, the 6A Coeur d’Alene Vikings.

Playing up a classification and against one of the best teams in the state, Coeur d’Alene is the second-best team in 6A in the Idaho State Media Poll, leaving the Bulldogs no room for error. Sandpoint will no doubt need another massive game from their star senior Brock Yarbrough, who has scored at least one touchdown in every game so far.

Sticking to the offensive side, Sandpoint will look to continue the rushing success it found against Bonners Ferry. The Bulldog backs Jensen Sheetz and Trenton Cross, combining for over 150 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Logan Iverson is set to play a key role and will need to play a clean game to keep the Bulldogs in it.

Expect to hear safety Jack Schriber and linebacker Clayton Ernst’s names a lot over the speakers when Sandpoint is on defense. Ernst, a sophomore, has been a breakout star for Sandpoint and leads the team in tackles per game with nine.

Sandpoint’s defense will have its hands full with Coeur d’Alene’s powerhouse offense led by quarterback Tannar Stern. The Vikings have scored at least 35 points in every game they’ve played, including a 35-10 thumping of 5A Lakeland in their season opener.

Priest River (1-1) vs. Logos (4-0), 7 p.m.

The Spartans come off their second bye in four weeks with a monumental test at Spartan Stadium on Friday night.

Priest River welcomes Logos, the No. 5 team in 3A in the Idaho State Media Poll, for their first 3A Central Idaho league game of 2026. Two weeks ago, the Spartans returned to their expected form, crushing the 4A Timberlake Tigers 32-0 to earn their first win of the season.

A large reason for the victory was junior quarterback Jacob Best, who threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and senior running back Colton Kuprienko, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown against Timberlake.

The Spartans' defense smothered the Tigers with five sacks and three interceptions in total. Priest River’s front-7 will be critical to stopping a Logos team that averages over 239 passing yards, 261 rushing yards and 46 points per game.

This game will be the first step in the Spartans’ mission to repeat as 3A Central Idaho League champions.

Clark Fork (1-2) @ Superior (3-0), 6 p.m.

The Wampus Cats are back on the road for the third time in four weeks, making the trip to Superior, MT., for another tough test.

Clark Fork’s offense has taken a step forward in every game they’ve played, scoring 44 in their win over Lewis County and 26 against a solid 2A school, Wallace, last week. The Wampus Cats will need an impressive outing from their offense and quarterback Mateo Cruz as they are set to face a Superior team off to a red-hot start.

The fewest points the Bobcats have scored in their three games is 58, which they notched last week in a blowout over Clearwater Valley. Superior scored 62 in a shutout of Charlo in Week 2 and scored a staggering 82 points in their season opener against Arlee.

Clark Fork will also need to start fast and avoid putting themselves in a hole as they did against 1A powerhouse Coeur du Christ. While they’ve been very good in the second half, the Wampus Cats will need to keep up in this track meet if they want to get back to .500.

Bonners Ferry (3-1) vs. Fruitland (2-1), 7 p.m.

Another game in North Idaho, another tough opponent. Bonners Ferry will host Fruitland, the No. 2 team in 4A in the Idaho State Media Poll, on Friday in a matchup of classification contenders.

The Badgers struggled last week playing 5A Sandpoint but played an impressive fourth quarter against the Bulldog backups. Bonners Ferry will lean on their impressive front on both sides of the ball to return to their dominant ways and slow Fruitland’s powerful rushing attack.

Fruitland, fresh off a loss to 5A Columbia, averages 245 rushing yards per game and has scored 12 touchdowns on the ground. Bonners Ferry has contained opposing running games well, but this will be another physical test after the Sandpoint game.

If the Badgers can get their offense back on track, especially their run game led by quarterback Alex Stolley, then this has the makings of one of the best matchups in the state.

The Bonners Ferry and Priest River games will be streamed on the NFHS Network on Friday. The Sandpoint game can be viewed on IdahoSports.com or on Sandpoint Sports Central at sptsports.com.
