Sept. 22 business meeting cancelled

SANDPOINT — The weekly Bonner County business meeting is cancelled for Sept. 22 due to an annual statewide conference.

County commissioners made the announcement Tuesday and said that they, along with other elected officials, will be attending the 2026 Idaho Association of Counties Annual Conference in Boise. According to the county website, IAC is celebrating its 50th anniversary, celebrating connectivity between the 44 counties of Idaho.

Elected officials will have the opportunity to learn about new legislative and policy updates, best practices for county government operations, along with the ability to network with fellow county officials.

“IAC promotes county interests, encourages ethical behavior, advocates good public policy on behalf of Idaho counties, supports best practices, and provides education and training to assist Idaho county officials in the performance of public service,” officials said on its site.

At the time of publishing, no meetings are scheduled for the county from Sept. 21 through Sept. 23.
