OTHELLO — Adams County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the public's help in identifying people involved in a suspected drive-by shooting west of Othello Saturday night.
Adams County Sheriff Dale Wagner said in a separate interview that a shooting was reported at 11:08 p.m. in the 2100 block of West April Street, about a mile west of Othello.
"Upon arrival, deputies located a parked vehicle that appeared to have been struck by gunfire," Wagner wrote in a media release. "No injuries have been reported or are known to have occurred as a result of the incident."
Further investigation by ACSO deputies indicate the shooting may be gang-related, he said.
"Possible juvenile suspects have been identified as potentially involved," Wagner said. "No arrests have been made and the names of the suspected individuals will not be released because they are juveniles. The motive for the drive-by shooting is unknown and remains under investigation."
Wagner said West April Street and the surrounding neighborhoods have been the location of suspected gang activity in the past.
Sheriff's deputies are asking anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity along West April Street at any time Saturday evening to contact ACSO at 509-659-1122.
