Timothy John McKee, 81, of Columbia Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 6, 2026.
Tim was born on July 24, 1945, in Spokane, Washington, to John and Muriel McKee.
Tim proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Tim worked for the United States Forest Service before building a long and respected career as a pressman for the Daily Inter Lake, where he worked until he retired.
On Feb. 14, 1995, Tim married the love of his life, Kathy. Together they built a life filled with faith, family, laughter and countless cherished memories. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and companionship.
Tim found joy in woodworking, spending time with his family, attending church gatherings and sharing life's simple pleasures with those he loved. He was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to family and friends. All who knew him loved him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, John and Muriel McKee and his brother, Michael McKee.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy McKee and their faithful dog, Luca; his sister, Merry (Larry); his son, Marc McKee (Jessica); his daughter, Charla Johnson; his stepdaughter, Christy Logan (Eric); his stepdaughter, Amy Zink (Terry); 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
The family invites all who knew and loved Tim to join them in celebrating his life. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Kalispell with a luncheon to follow.
Tim's legacy of love, faith, service and dedication to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered. Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for the family.
