Donald 'Don' Conklin, 72

Donald ‘Don’ Glenn Conklin Sr., 72, passed away Aug. 15, 2026, at his home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. 

Don was born in Santa Ana, Calif., on Jan. 28, 1954, to Marshall and Pauline Conklin and their 3-year-old daughter, Marsha. 

After graduating from Santa Ana Valley High School, Don served in the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., until 1975. 

After his Army service, Don drove semi-trucks across the United States for a few years. Afterward, he attended a janitorial school in Spokane where he learned the skills of a janitor and became a dedicated worker in his craft. Later in life, he and his wife, Nina, owned D & N Janitorial, providing dependable services to many businesses throughout Waco, Texas, and Idaho, for 25 years.

In 1994, he met Nina Spencer. Although she initially wasn’t interested in him, Don persisted until she agreed to go dancing. They married Jan. 26, 1996. Their children always treasured the story of how they met.  

Don’s passion was fishing and sports. He was a big Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed professional wrestling. He had a wealth of knowledge of MLB and NFL statistics and trivia from the 1960s to today. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nina Conklin; his parents, Marshall Conklin, Pauline (Conklin) Keller, and Warren Keller Sr.

Don is survived by his children, Jason Robinson and his wife Kendra; Donald Jr., Elizabeth, and Kelly Conklin; and stepson Fredrick Spencer. He had 13 grandchildren: Mayelen, Isabella, Tayla, Jaidan, Haydin, Tanner, Azalea, Luna, Journey, Rosalie, Ryder, Gracelyn, and Annie.    

He is also survived by his siblings: Marsha Jacobs, Jonathan Keller, Deborah Clark, and Warren Keller Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
