KELLOGG — Sophomore Gretah Angle totaled 17 kills, 10 digs and two aces as the Wildcats knocked off the visiting Spartans 25-20, 25-13, 25-12.
Ella Yrjana had 34 assists and two aces for Kellogg.
Paige Yrjana had nine digs and two aces, and was 21 for 21 on serving. Jordyn Stutzke had 14 digs, Valynn Visintainer five blocks.
The match was a battle between the number two and three ranked 3A teams and a potential preview of the District 1-2 3A championship.
“We played good volleyball tonight,” Kellogg coach Hollie Yrjana said. “Priest made us earn every point and put up a great battle at the net. There were some great rallies tonight and I loved how we never gave up on balls and worked well as a team.”

SILVERTON — Junior Lennox Radford had two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown, and had three receiving touchdowns and a kickoff return for a score for the Miners in a win over the Raiders of Coulee Dam, Wash., at Sather Field.
Junior Cooper Miller threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more, and senior Hank Larson had two touchdown receptions for Wallace (4-0), which hosts Troy on Friday.
Miller crossed the 10,000 total career yards during the game.

CHARLO – The visiting Tigers improved to 4-0 after a trouncing of the Vikings.
St. Regis/Mullan are currently ranked fifth in the MaxPreps Montana Division C 8-man rankings.
The Tigers host Darby this week in a battle between undefeated teams.

PLUMMER — Senior Khepri Wood had eight kills, seven aces and three blocks for the visiting Wallace Miners in a 25-15, 22-25, 25-15, 25-23 win over the Lakeside Knights in a Scenic Idaho Conference match at Ron Miller Court on Monday.
Senior Kayden Stutzke had 23 assists, freshman Danica Valley four aces for Wallace.

WALLACE — The host Miners swept the Jaguars 25-6, 25-7, 25-12 in Scenic Idaho Conference play at Kirby Krulitz Court.
“Overall the girls played extremely well regardless of what the score says,” Genesis Prep coach Jessica Moore said. “I’m very proud.”

KELLOGG — Senior Emilia Landon had two goals and an assist for the Tigers in an Intermountain League win over the Wildcats at Teeters Field.
Senior Aurora Lippard had one goal and junior Paisley Fenton two assists for Timberlake, which hosts Sugar-Salem on Saturday.
Kellogg travels to Priest River on Tuesday.

LEWISTON – Junior Alex Cassidy finished 21st overall to lead the Wildcat runners at the Les MacDowell Invitational at the Lewis-Clark State Course in Lewiston Orchards.
Cassidy finished with a time of 18:06. Senior Buck Coe finished 31st overall, with a time of 19:01.
78 boys competed in the race.
Several Wildcats competed in the JV race.

Timberlake 35 Kellogg 8
KELLOGG — Junior running back Joe Torr ran for 196 yards and a touchdown for the Tigers in a win over the Wildcats at Teeters Field.
Senior quarterback Ryker Brennan threw for 110 yards and three touchdowns, two to senior Mason Shively and the other to senior Gaige Haines for Timberlake. Brennan also ran for a score.
Kellogg senior Porter Lewis connected with Ty Cheney in the fourth quarter for the Wildcats’ lone score. Lewis also ran in the two-point conversion.
Kellogg hosts Grangeville in a Central Idaho League game this Friday.
