Third street closed for construction, Dover

DOVER — Third Street in Dover will be temporarily closed until Friday, Sept. 25, as part of the city's stormwater improvement project.   

Officials said portions of Third Street, between Roosevelt Avenue and Jackson Avenue, will be closed to all traffic, with detours directing traffic to Fourth Street. Access to nearby homes next to the construction will be available throughout the week-long project.   

The project is part of the city's bigger plan to replace failing culverts and the impacted road sections. The city has contracted Woods Crushing and Hauling for the project.
