A suspect is detained after allegedly shooting and injuring two people in Coeur d’Alene early Tuesday morning.

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department was called to an apartment complex in the 200 block of 19th Street around 3:30 a.m. after a shot was reported fired.

The department said that a woman was out with a male friend and returned to her residence after spending time downtown. Another male who also lived at the residence confronted the pair.

The victims were transported to Kootenai Health, where they are being treated for their injuries.

The victims’ names are being withheld pending further investigation.
