Live Your Dream Award application is now open

The Live Your Dream award offers cash grants to women or girls seeking financial assistance for educational or training expenses.

Women and girls who work or reside in Pend Oreille County, Wash., or Bonner County, Idaho, serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to continue their education or training are eligible to apply for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Education and Training Awards.

Applications are available online at bit.ly/LYDA-apply or by contacting Live Your Dream Chair Tracy O’Brien at [email protected]. The application deadline is Nov. 15.

Soroptimist of Newport will provide a $1,000 cash award to its award recipient, who will then advance to the Soroptimist Northwestern Region level, where recipients could receive up to an additional $5,000. The program culminates with three finalists each receiving a $10,000 award. If you know someone who may benefit from this award, please encourage them to apply.

Recipients can use the Live Your Dream Award to offset costs associated with their efforts to attain vocational/skills training or an undergraduate degree program. This includes tuition, books, childcare, carfare or any other education-related expense. Learn more about the Live Your Dream Award atsoroptimist.org/our-work/live-your-dream-awards/index.html.
