MOSCOW — The Sandpoint girls golf team earned a podium finish at the Moscow Invitational on Monday at the Vandal Golf Course. 

The Bulldogs, led by Hannah Majors' 88 final score, were the second-best scoring 5A school and only trailed Lakeland by 15 strokes. Sandpoint got quality rounds out of Ella Mahlum, 96, Hailey Gove, 101 and Evey Walker, 103 to build out their day. 

On the boys' side, Bode Eacret was once again the star of the day for the Bulldogs. In addition to his 80 final score, Eacret notched an eagle on the 13th hole of the Vandal Golf Course. 

Eacret was backed up by an 89 by Miller Ely, Drake Reid's and Rajah Brown's 93. Landon Day posted a 99, which did not count toward the team's final score. 

Sandpoint's golf team will head over to The Links in Post Falls, where the district and state tournaments will be held, on Thursday.
