Clark Fork 3, Wallace 1 

CLARK FORK — The Clark Fork Wampus Cats extended their unbeaten streak to 9-0 with a nonleague win over the Wallace Miners on Monday night. 

The Wampus Cats won the rescheduled match in four sets (25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 25-21). Clark Fork's third set loss to Wallace was the first time the Wampus Cats had dropped a set since Sept. 2, when they beat the Miners 3-1 in the two teams' first meeting. 

"Last night was all about adjustments on the fly, which is a skill we will need to keep mastering as we keep our eye on the post-season," Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey said. "We talk a lot about maintaining discipline and consistency in our mental game, and last night we let that slip in the third set and then into the fourth." 

Down early in the fourth, 11-4, Kiebert-Carey said she took a timeout to rally her team. The Wampus Cats responded with a 21-10 run to take the final set and secure a victory. 

Sophomore Kiylah Anderson led the way for Clark Fork with 22 assists, eight kills and eight digs. Freshman Grace Thompson led the Wampus Cats with 14 kills, while sophomore Vanessa Rogier totaled a team-high 14 digs and a staggering 12 aces. 

Clark Fork played a league match against Coeur du Christ Academy on Tuesday night, but it did not finish by the Bee's print deadline. A full recap will be in the Thursday print edition. 

Sandpoint 3, University 0 

SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Bulldogs recorded their first win in September with a sweep (25-18, 25-14, 25-22) of University High (WA) on Saturday night at Les Rogers Court. 

The Bulldogs implemented a new offense in the non-league match, which allowed them to get quality reps in the system, head coach Karen Alsager said. Sandpoint was led in scoring by Marlee Lane, who had 12 kills and one block, while Ali Gunter added eight kills and three aces. 

Setter Averi Mire stuffed the stat sheet, racking up 30 assists and one block. Hailey Gion had a team-high 12 digs, while Darby Rust added 11 digs. 

"It was a good game to get some practice with it," Alsager said. "Our middles continue to be very solid for us." 

Sandpoint moves to 4-6 on the season and remains 1-1 in league play. The Bulldogs will play host to Lewiston on Thursday in an Inland Empire League game at 7 p.m. 

Priest River 3, Riverside 0 

PRIEST RIVER — Ahead of a massive rematch with Kellogg, the Priest River Spartans swept Riverside High (25-15, 25-10, 25-22) on Monday night in a non-league game. 

The duo of Ava Griesemer and McKinley Burgess-Duquette led the Spartans in scoring, with eight and seven, respectively. Griesemer added four aces and one block to her night, while Burgess-Duquette added a block and six digs. 

Loralei Cooper posted a team-high eight assists, and Haylee Jepson-Church had seven assists on the night. Jepson-Church added seven digs, as part of a successful defensive night where Callie Stanger had a team-high nine digs and Raygn Turner totaled eight. 

The Spartans dominated most of the match to get back in the win column and move to 6-2 on the season. Priest River hosted league rival Kellogg in a monumental league matchup on Tuesday night, but the game did not finish by the Bee's deadline.
