Saint Mary's wins D-I men's tourney at CDA National

COEUR d'ALENE — Davis Hartwell of Oregon State won the individual title and Saint Mary's of Moraga, Calif., took the team title Tuesday at the CDA National Invitational at CDA National, the first NCAA Division I men's golf tournament held in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area in more than two decades, a 54-hole tournament which concluded Tuesday. 

Hartwell shot an 8-under-par 208, good for a one-shot victory.  

Saint Mary's was 7-under-par for the tourney, also winning by one stroke.

Eli Mcnelly of Eastern Washington, formerly of North Idaho College, tied for 47th at 8-over 224. 

Eastern coach Russell Grove is the former NIC coach.
